HITS conducts session with Governor’s College

The Governor’s College event was held on Tuesday, June 26th.  An adjunct faculty member from Industrial Engineering, Floyd Ostrowski, reached out to HITS to conduct a session at the HITS lab for around 16 students. Students were given a tour of HITS and presented with a healthcare problem. The problem asked the students to consider the policies needed to assist visitors when they enter a medical facility to visit a pediatric patient. Students were placed in 4 teams to develop process improvement plan using system engineering skills they learned during their time on campus. The end result was presented to a panel of judges for feedback.
